Kenect Recruitment case study

Established in May 2012, Kenect Recruitment Ltd provides both temporary and permanent staff in the transport, industrial and technical industry sectors.

With the business operating on a national scale from six UK sites – four physical and two satellite – Kenect is headed up by three directors; Michael, Julien and Jason. With their collective experience spanning 20 years, Kenect’s knowledge and expertise helps clients to source the right staff for the right job, at the right price.

They are part of the Recruitment Employment Confederation (REC).

The challenge

As the company experienced rapid growth, they identified an immediate need to move away from the manual reporting and paper-based administration they had been relying on for some time. Their vision comprised of a cloud-based software system that allowed them to safely house their administration and documents in a centralised place that also allowed full visibility for key decision-makers. A cloud-based system would also allow access to their data at any time and in any place – something that was essential with the three directors and consultants on the road most of the time.

Lastly, with legal compliance absolutely vital to the business, it was a critical requirement to find a system that tracked this on all their candidates, so Kenect could continue to fulfil their promise to clients that their labour is compliant at all times and adhering to worker legislation.

The solution

With this in mind, Kenect explored the possibility of using the Flo Software system, which offered solutions to all of their challenges and more – freeing them from the manual reporting and paper-based spreadsheets that had become time-consuming and expensive.

Since signing up in 2015, the business has gone from strength to strength – with all employees using the Flo system to track compliance for their thousands of candidate records on file and manage bookings, timesheets and payroll with ease through its various functionalities.

The implementation process was quick, meaning that Kenect could stay focused on running the business. To guide the team through the initial stage, Flo delivered a series of tailored training sessions, meaning that employees were ready to use the system from day one – although this support didn’t end there.

Next steps

Kenect is now in the process of implementing the Flo system at their biggest branch in Atherstone, with the continued support of Paul, Kathryn and the rest of the Flo team.
